MRI Tech Job Description

Our growing outpatient diagnostic imaging facility is looking for an MRI technologist to become part of our dynamic team! Our team is hiring a full time MRI technologist. Responsibilities for MRI Technologist

  • Operate MRI equipment for imaging various areas of the body to include Body, Neuro, Musculoskeletal and vascular imaging in order to provide high quality images and information for patient diagnosis.
  • Address patient concerns during the procedures and explain the MRI process to the patient in a way that is informative but also reassuring.
  • Use tact, courtesy and poise when dealing with patients, keeping them calm and ensuring that they get the best care possible.
  • Communicate effectively with radiologists and health care professionals to ensure optimal patient care and diagnosis.
  • Troubleshoot peripheral equipment and scanners to ensure that equipment is operating properly to avoid downtime or delays that affect patient satisfaction.
  • Ensure patient safety with aseptic injection technique and pre-screening for any contra-indications before the procedure.
  • Provide training to new technologists with regular checks, direction and qualified work samples performed by an experienced team member.
  • Handle high-stress environments in a calm manner when dealing with patients, technologists, and physicians.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Current state licensing
  • ARRT certified MRI
  • Associate degree
  • Current CPR certification

Preferred:

  • Experience working in high-stress environments
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Siemens Syngo MR knowledge
