Annette Seabrook, MPT, MHA, FACHE has been named president of Orlando Health’s new rehabilitation institute. Located on the Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital campus, the 54-bed inpatient facility will provide a full range of advanced rehabilitation services and will specialize in care for patients suffering from complex neurological conditions.

Seabrook previously served as the Market CEO for LifePoint Health (formerly Kindred Healthcare). In that role, she was responsible for the operations of two rehabilitation hospitals, including Community Rehabilitation Hospital North – a 60-bed inpatient facility, and the construction project of a third rehabilitation hospital in the Indianapolis market. She begins her new role with Orlando Health on October 3.

“Annette’s extensive experience in leadership roles at rehabilitation hospitals, as well as her work specifically in the neuroscience field, is exactly the right fit for the successful launch and overall operation of this new inpatient facility,” said Greg Ohe, Orlando Health senior vice president of ambulatory and post-acute services. “She will ensure that our accomplished rehabilitation team continues to provide the highest quality services to patients in Central Florida.” The current inpatient rehabilitation program at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center, recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, will relocate to the new site as the first freestanding comprehensive medical rehabilitation facility in Orange County, Florida.

Seabrook is a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. She received her Master of Physical Therapy from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and her Master of Health Administration from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).  She founded the Coalition for an Indiana Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Research Fund in 2007.
