Neil A. Mangus, MHA, FACHE, Senior Director, Business Development, Orlando Health in Orange County, FL, has been appointed to the Council of Regents, the legislative body of the American College of Healthcare Executives. The Council of Regents serves as the vital link between ACHE and members by approving governance and membership regulations as well as promoting ACHE programs, services and activities within their respective areas.
Mangus officially took office March 26, 2022, prior to ACHE’s Congress on Healthcare Leadership in Chicago, IL. As a Regent, Mangus will represent ACHE’s membership in Central and South Florida.
Prior to his roles as ACHE Regent – East Florida and Senior Director of Business Development for Ambulatory Surgery Centers with Orlando Health, he served as VP, Marketing Operations for Health First and President of ACHE of Central Florida (ACHECF). Prior to these positions, he was the President-Elect and Programs Chair for ACHECF. Board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow, Mangus has received two ACHE Regent’s Awards and the Distinguished FACHE Service award while with ACHECF.
Mangus also serves as the Goals of the School Committee Chair on the alumni board for Indiana University’s Fairbanks School of Public Health and on the editorial board for ACHE’s Journal of Healthcare Management.
Mangus received his master’s degree in healthcare administration from the Fairbanks School of Public Health in Indianapolis, IN and a bachelor’s in business from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in Bloomington, IN.
