The Mental Health Association of Central Florida announced today the appointment of Cherlette McCullough, mental health counselor, as a new member to their Board of Directors. This marks the second appointment to the Board of Directors in 2022.

Cherlette McCullough is a keynote speaker, author, mental health counselor, and owner of Center Peace Couples and Family Therapy. She received her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University and has spent her 18-year career working within the child welfare community, the Department of Juvenile Justice, and specializing in helping individuals heal from trauma connected to family conflict.

Ms. McCullough has contributed to the community by serving as the Chair of the Professional Development Committee for the Florida Counselors Association Marriage and Family Board, serves on the Board of Governors at the Citrus Club of Orlando, serves on the Board for the Faine House, is an active member of the Women’s Executive Exchange, and is a partner of the Pace-Orange Center for Girls.

“My work is guided by the principle that just because you may not have a mental illness, doesn’t mean you are mentally healthy. I’m thrilled to join this Board because this is an organization that works tirelessly to make mental health resources available to everyone in our community,” said Cherlette.

Cherlette is married to a Sworn Deputy with Seminole County Sheriff’s Office and has 3 bonus children.
