On Monday, March 7, Axiom Bank, N.A. will celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of its Goldwyn Branch in the Washington Shores community. Mayor Buddy Dyer, District 6 Commissioner Bakari F. Burns, and District 5 Commissioner Regina I. Hill will be on-hand for the official ribbon cutting.
Washington Shores Federal Savings and Loan Association was chartered in 1963 and was Florida’s first black-owned thrift. The first grand opening of the building was on April 19, 1963. Since July 2021, Axiom Bank has invested over $1.6 million for the renovation of the building.
