Dr. Rossi to see patients at Nemours Children’s Specialty Care in Lakeland

Nemours Children’s Health System welcomes Gian Rossi, D.O, to the Division of Neurology. Dr. Rossi is among the pediatric specialists who will help families address a wide range of pediatric neurological issues, including developmental delay, seizures, movement disorders and headaches. He is now seeing patients at Nemours Children’s Specialty Care, Lakeland, at the Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavilion for Women and Children at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

A native of the Florida panhandle, Dr. Rossi is following in his father’s footsteps in the field of pediatric neurology. “The brain and the rest of the nervous system have always fascinated me,” said Dr. Rossi.

Dr. Rossi graduated from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and earned his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. He completed his residency and fellowship training in pediatric neurology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.

As a result of his training, Dr. Rossi looks broadly at the mind, body and spirit needs of each child in navigating their neurological health. “I enjoy providing comprehensive pediatric neurological care including complementary and alternative therapies for treatment. I welcome and regularly engage in these discussions and offer evidence-based approaches to treating neurological disorders,” he added.

Dr. Rossi will see young patients with a wide variety of nervous system problems: episodic disorders such as epilepsy and headaches, movement disorders such as Tourette Syndrome, and developmental delay. As a father himself, he knows what it is like to worry about his own child, and he wants to be a part of your child’s wellness team.
