Fifty independent physicians, practice administrators, CFMGMA members and Central Florida healthcare professionals spent Wednesday evening with the Orlando Medical News, at Axiom Bank's corporate headquarters in Maitland.

Guest speakers, Larry Jones, executive director of the IP Network, and CEO of HPOF Holdings, LLC, discussed current challenges impacting independent physicians nationally, and closer to home in Central Florida. He expanded upon the 1,000-physician member IPN Network and solutions allowing independent physicians to "more than survive, but thrive" in the current environment. Opportunities discussed included retaining and growing patient base, reimbursement via eight multi-specialty IPAs, an MSO with two Medicare contracts, and four ACOs with MSSP contracts with CMS.
