Please join us in welcoming Dave Russell as the new Chief Operating Officer at Digestive & Liver Center of Florida and our affiliated surgery centers.  In the COO role, Dave will help take us to the next level of success serving our patients with a continued focus on compassionate, sophisticated medical care and an emphasis on staged, accelerated growth of our practice.

 

Dave comes to us after seven years at Community Health Systems where he directed physician practice operations, financials and physician recruiting in Florida for more than 220 clinicians and 650 associates in 63 outpatient facilities. Prior to that, Dave was COO for four years at Deuk Spine and Viera Heart & Vascular and as Executive Director of their 501(c)(3) foundation promoting clinical research and education.  

 

He also has experience in the tech sector where he worked with ACI Worldwide for a dozen years serving as president and COO and at First Data Corp where he was in sales, call center operations and strategic planning.

 

Dave earned his BS and MBA at Virginia Tech and is a board certified Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives.

 

He and his artist wife enjoy the loyal companionship of their Golden Retriever and feral Siamese cat, dinner with friends and the beautiful Florida sunsets. Dave says he has given up his penchant for custom bikes and now plays a little golf and is writing his second novel.
