CHICAGO - The American Medical Association (AMA) today announced that it is offering medical students, residents and medical educators free access to online education modules to help ensure they have the resources they need to continue remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Aimed at helping medical schools and residency programs more quickly adjust to the impact of the pandemic on clinical and educational practices, these undergraduate medical education (UME) and graduate medical education (GME) resources will be available for free through September 30, 2020.

“The American Medical Association is unwavering in its commitment to ensuring the physician workforce – both present and future – is equipped with the skills and education necessary to meet our nation’s rapidly changing health care needs,” said AMA President Patrice A. Harris, M.D., M.A. “The COVID-19 pandemic severely disrupted medical education for students, residents and educators, and the AMA is working to fill gaps by offering free access to content, tools and resources that will ensure a well-trained physician workforce of the future.”
