The public is invited to attend the Washington Shores Community Health Fair scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2020. The theme for the fair is “Working Together to Build Healthy Families.” Sponsors of the fair are Florida Blue and the Florida Department of Health in Orange County.
Held at the Washington Shores Church of Christ, 2818 Orange Center Boulevard, in Orlando, the fair will begin at 9:00 am and run until 1:00 pm in the afternoon.
Local Zumba and fitness instructors will lead attendees in fun-filled events, and there will be a bounce house and other activities for children. Look for a nutrition presentation and cooking demonstration by Hebni Nutrition Consultants. In addition, the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) will also be on hand to offer nutrition education as well as other health-related organizations.
A highlight of the fair includes a CPR class that will train residents on the techniques of saving lives by a trained and certified instructor. For those desiring to be CPR certified, there is a $25.00 fee.
