Florida Hospital Ocala is honored to announce the hospital's team of volunteers was named a finalist for the American Hospital Association's (AHA) 2018 Hospital Awards for Volunteer Excellence (HAVE) Community Service award. Florida Hospital Ocala has one of the largest volunteer groups in the state, with more than 1,300 volunteers who help serve patients and visitors every day.

The Healthy Home Program serves homebound patients who may require additional assistance with non-medical needs during the first few weeks after a hospital stay. Florida Hospital is committed to delivering care to patients where they need it, when they need it most, and the Healthy Home program is an extension of the expert health care services we provide at the hospital.

The volunteer group at Florida Hospital Ocala was awarded the 2016 Governor's Award for Volunteer Excellence, the 2014 Florida Council on Aging's Senior Living Award and has been recognized in other ways for outstanding volunteer service.

Florida Hospital Ocala is a 425-bed acute care hospital with an additional free-standing emergency room location at TimberRidge serving Ocala, Marion County and the surrounding area with 24/7 emergency care, cardiovascular, women's services including labor and delivery, a Level II NICU, bariatric weight loss surgery and inpatient and outpatient therapy.
