Oviedo Medical Center has named its inaugural Board of Trustees for the hospital, a 64-bed acute care HCA facility slated to open in early 2017. The hospital is being built on the same property where Oviedo ER, a freestanding emergency department, is currently located.
The board members are:

- Kenneth (KC) Donahey, CEO of Oviedo Medical Center
- Michael Joyce, President of HCA North Florida Division
- Rick Lee, President and CEO of Citizens Bank of Florida
- Dr. Pinkal Patel, Oviedo Family Health Center
- Dominic Persampiere, Mayor of the City of Oviedo
- Bonnie Rimel-Johnson, President and CEO of Bonn-J Contracting
- Dr. Kevin Scanlon, Pulmonary Practice Associates
- Lars White, Fire Chief & Emergency Management Director for the City of Oviedo
- Chief of Medical Staff, Physician member to be determined
“Joining the hospital’s inaugural board is a tremendous honor,” said board chair David Duda, whose family has longstanding ties to Oviedo and previously owned the property where the hospital is located. “Oviedo Medical Center will be a significant asset to our community, and we’re committed to enhancing the well-being of our patients and their families.”
KC Donahey, CEO of Oviedo Medical Center, added: “Our intent was to create a community-driven board composed of both medical experts and local leaders.
