Summary: Responsible for all aspects of community's Wellness Department which includes but not limited to resident care, medication assistance, wound care as needed/ordered, and directly supervising care staff, assisting where needed, and working to fulfill Providence Senior Living's mission to provide the best day possible for our residents, community associates, families, vendors, and members of the community.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Manages residents' healthcare needs in accordance with state and federal guidelines while delivering on the community policies and procedures.*

2. Provides quality nursing care and assistance with the functions of daily living.*

3. Ensures residents with bathing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene, repositioning, standing and walking needs are being met.*

4. Assists and supervises with self-administration of medication.*

5. Responds quickly to emergencies and follows community guidelines for reporting events.*

6. Measures and records residents' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.*

7. Assists with training of new Certified Nursing Assistants, Caregivers, Medication Technicians. *

8. Assists community in maintaining all public, staff, and residential areas.*

9. Wears appropriate PPE throughout shift as regulated by CDC and local regulatory guidelines.*

10. Adheres to an updated state or federal regulations, including but not limited to COVID and other infectious virus and disease procedures.*

11. Completes all require training and in-service recertification.*

12. Safety is an important part of the company's culture, as such, all policies and procedures for workplace safety must be observed while on property.*

13. Observes residents, charting and reporting changes in patients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action.*

14. Answers telephone calls.

16. Collaborates with the recreation director and staff to ensure nursing and recreation are working together to meet the resident's needs.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as admission documents, care plans, doctor's orders, regulations, safety rules, operating policies. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to individuals or before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of electronic medical charting software/eMAR. Yardi experience at Plus

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates and Licenses:

*CPR and First Aid/BLS certified

*Current and active LPN license in good standing
