Exciting opportunity to join Orlando Health Imaging Centers' mammography team! We are looking for an experienced, patient focused, individual with flexibility. Mammography Technologist: Experienced technologist with valid ARRT registry, Mammography certification and current CPR. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and communicate professionally is critical. Tomography experience preferred but not required.
Position Summary
Performs mammography imaging services and related procedures by applying x-ray energy to demonstrate breast anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention.
Essential Functions
- Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a professional demeanor.
- Complies with FDA and MQSA regulatory requirements.
- Adheres to policy, procedures, protocols, value statements and performance standards.
- Analyses the patient’s physical condition and age specific needs to apply appropriate patient care.
- Provides instruction to achieve desired results and patient cooperation.
- Correlates patient’s clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented accurately. Positions patient, equipment, associated devices and manipulates technical factors, to achieve desired high quality radiographs for interpretation.
- Analyses processed radiograph for technical quality, proper annotation, correct patient identification, and assures that all breast anatomy is demonstrated according to MQSA guidelines.
- Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self and others.
- Required to utilize Radiology Information System to accurately show arrival and completion of exams, correct coding of procedures done, retrieval of reports and bar code movement of film jackets.
- Applies sterile technique for sterile procedures.
- Administers medical aid as required for any emergency situation.
- Aware of the necessity to provide Quality Control procedures and must assist in all QC efforts.
- Follows universal precautions where applicable.
- Utilizes Corporate Radiology computer systems, hospital information systems effectively and accurately.
- Ensures safety of patients.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health Imaging Center policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

Education/Training
- Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Must have and maintain CME points as mandated by MQSA.
Licensure/Certification
- Valid Florida state license.
- Valid Advanced Level Mammography registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- BLS/Healthcare Provider certification required
