AdventHealth Ocala is partnering with the Marion County Department of Health, Marion County Fire Rescue and Sheriff’s Office, Ocala Fire Rescue and Police and Paddock Mall to provide free COVID-19 vaccinations to Marion County residents age 65 and older. AdventHealth Ocala will provide its leased space within the mall for the duration of vaccinations and provide clinical and support staff to assist during the Marion County Department of Health event at Paddock Mall.
The Marion County Department of Health will be providing the vaccine supply and follow up subsequent vaccination appointments for patients.
“The past 10 months have been filled with tremendous adversity and challenges for our team members and community, but the arrival of the COVID-19 vaccine provides us all with optimism and hope for the future,” said Joe Johnson, President and CEO of AdventHealth Ocala. “By partnering with the many agencies involved, we’re able to extend our services to help care for the most vulnerable in our community and that’s why we are here – to serve.”
AdventHealth is committed to supporting community vaccinations and looks forward to expanding services as more vaccine supply and distribution sites come available. We encourage the general public to visit CoronavirusVaccineAlerts.com to receive updates when they are available.
