Poinciana Medical Center Collects 191 Pounds of Unused & Expired Opioids During Drug Take-Back Event

Poinciana Medical Center, an HCA Healthcare – Orlando Market hospital, hosted its second annual “Crush the Crisis” Opioid Take Back event to support the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Drug Take Back Day on October 24. The hospital partnered with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office to collect 191 pounds of unused and expired opioids, which were safely disposed of by the Sheriff’s Office. Thank you to everyone who participated in helping combat the misuse of opioids to protect the local community.
