Ocala Health leadership, faculty, medical staff and board members announce the graduation of its first residency class. The graduating physicians are listed in alphabetical order by specialty below. The Class of 2018 launched in July 2015 with six family medicine residents and 10 internal medicine residents.
Ocala Health's graduate medical education program has now grown to 71 residents across four specialties including family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and general surgery. The program will welcome the first class of anesthesia and transitional year programs in July 2018.

The residency program at Ocala Regional Medical Center is part of the UCF College of Medicine-Hospital Corporation of America consortium, which has brought 20 graduate medical education programs to Central and North Central Florida in the past four years. The partnership is now training about 250 residents in Gainesville, Ocala and greater Orlando and expects to add a total of 600 residency slots to the state by 2020.
