SCMS members and guests met at Café Murano's in Altamonte Springs May 21, to socialize, introduce potential new members and award annual scholarships to deserving high school students.
Our winners this year included:
Grace Thompson of Oviedo High School for the Dr. Willie Newman Scholarship of $1,000
Maya Patel of Oviedo High School for the Dr. Luis Perez Scholarship of $500
Madison Petitpas of Lake Mary High School for the Dr. Luis Perez Scholarship of $500
These scholarships are offered each year by the Seminole County Medical Society Foundation. More information about our scholarships can be found here.
We received over 100 applications this year for our scholarships from high school seniors across the county.
